ISLINGTON SQUARE

216 Kitchens & 148 Wardrobe Installations

This is a new destination in the heart of vibrant Islington that sits on the site of the former North London Royal Mail sorting and delivery centre. From maisonettes and warehouse-style apartments with a distinctively London edge, to studios and flats with one to four bedrooms, these are homes with character.

Wardrobes were a particular challenge therefore we completely reconfigured the product by designing and installing the wardrobes for a private selection at Islington Square. Some doors are 3.6 metres high and would normally bend and bow. Two companies attempted to resolve this issue but their wardrobe doors had bowed in the middle by over 12mm.

Tensioning bars were used but within two weeks of installation further issues arose. Neither of the companies could guarantee their doors longevity so we were awarded the contract due to the innovative solution we presented. Our concept was developed in only a couple of months utilising products from the USA and Italy. The new and improved design of the doors reduced the bowing to no more than 2 mm over time

Romero Interiors created a product that had never been used for this application before, setting the standards for our industry through quality, innovation and efficiency.
